EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, and proven effective psychotherapy modality that can help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Some (but not all) of the areas of concern that may benefit from EMDR therapy include trauma and attachment, anxiety or panic, phobias, eating disorders, birth trauma and grief.
A unique feature of EMDR therapy is that it does not require discussion in detail about the issue or
completing homework between sessions. Rather than working to change the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors resulting from the issue, EMDR allows the brain to resume its natural healing process.
I am EMDR trained and an active member of EMDRIA, the EMDR international association. To find out more, schedule an in-person consultation.
Supervision Services
I am seasoned clinical supervisor with over ten years of clinical work focused in supervising newly graduated clinicians working toward independent licensure as well as clinicians entering private practice. I currently offer supervision services to individuals seeking independent licensure hoping to work in an outpatient or private practice setting. I also provide supervision in specific treatment concerns that I specialize in to independently licensed clinicians or clinicians newly entering private practice.
Ideal candidates for supervision will be interested in trauma and parts work, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, and using the HAES approach in counseling.
I do not offer supervision related to EMDR at this time.
